Dewey Access from Home

"YES - you CAN access Dewey from home!"
I have been waiting to say that, and now it is true :-) With the implementation of NEW Dewey, this should be alot smoother and more reliable than in the past!

Connecting to Dewey from Home!!!

Using your school laptop, this is VERY easy :-)
Just Follow the step below and you are ready to go!

1.  Click the VPN icon in the top right corner of your Finder Toolbar.  It looks like this…
2.  Choose Connect VPN

3.  When the VPN Connection box pops up enter your user name and password, then click ‘OK’
Once it is connected it will show in your toolbar
IMPORTANT NOTE – this is your Dewey user name and password, EXCEPT the first initial of your first name and the first initial of your last name are CAPS.  It is case sensitive.
4.  Once this is connected, you have to access Dewey by going to COMMAND+K on your keyboard and the box below will open
5.  Enter the Server address as listed above and then click Connect
6.  Enter your Dewey user name an password as usual
7.  You can then access your Dewey files as usual

NOTE – Access will be a bit slower than it is at school, so be patient!
